Often, chutneys and relishes are relagated for use just on a cheeseboard, when actually they are incredibly versatile condiments - flavour powerhouses, each offering a balance of sweet, sour, spicy, and savoury flavours. They can enhance or transform a wide variety of dishes, cuisines and eating occasions.
Their sweet-spicy-acidic profiles make them ideal for experimentation and customisation in any kitchen - this guide will help you to be bold with your pairings and understand further the flavour profiles of our products - think of them like concentrated flavour infusions for many of your home-cooked dishes and favourite ingredients - happy pairing!
Fig & Red Onion Relish:
Sweet & moreish & delicately spiced with cloves & cinnamon, this goes beautifully with the tangy flavour of a soft goat’s cheese, Brie or Camembert. Add it to your power or poke bowl for an added zing.
Smokey Tomato & Chilli Relish:
A crowd pleaser with a fiery kick, this relish will spice up your meat or vegan burgers, sandwiches and toasties! Also delicious with both hard and soft cheeses, cold cuts or as a dipping sauce for croquettes or chips.
Rich Plum & Cranberry Chutney:
Slow cooked to intensify the rich flavours, this goes brilliantly with a good vintage cheddar, cold turkey or a pork pie. Can also be used as a quick and easy marinade to have your lamb or pork impressing everyone at the table - without the compromise.
Rhubarb & Date Chutney:
A great combination of flavours with just a hint of mild curry – pairs really well with a gamey meat terrine or a pâté.
Caramelised Onion Relish:
An all round favourite, this relish goes with literally everything! Try it too as a topping on a warm goat’s cheese puff pastry tart…yum!
Thick Cut Orange Marmalade:
Always a breakfast favourite, but also very delicious added to a brioche & chocolate bread & butter pudding, for the ever popular orange & chocolate combo!
Grandpa’s Blueberry Jam:
Nothing extra added except a subtle hint of vanilla – absolutely delicious served with hot buttered crumpets or with a slice of cheesecake. Also wonderful served warm with freshly made pancakes.
Strawberry Jam:
Everyone’s favourite – serve it on toast generously spread with butter or even peanut butter or with homemade scones & clotted cream, for a quintessentially English afternoon tea – an all time classic!
